Shapes
Within the Grid (pdf download)–Level: Grades 4-6
“ If you want to establish a point
you have to have repetition.” – Leroy
Setziol
After analyzing Setziol’s grid style,
students will have a chance to try it out on their own by
creating a soap sculpture. They’ll think about both
organic and geometric shapes and how to unify their design
with some repetition and the grid for the overall structure.
